Creamy Matcha Pistachio Smoothie
Ingredients
1 frozen banana
200 ml unsweetened oat milk or almond milk
3g RHEA MATCHA ceremonial matcha
1 tbsp 100% pure pistachio paste or butter
50 ml warm water (70–80°C)
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
A few crushed pistachios (for garnish)
Directions
Prep the Whisk:
Dip your bamboo whisk in hot water for a few seconds to soften the prongs.
Sift the Matcha:
Sift RHEA MATCHA into a small bowl to ensure a perfectly smooth, lump-free texture.
Mix with Water:
Add the warm water to the bowl and whisk briskly in a "W" motion until the matcha is fully dissolved and a light froth forms. Set aside.
Prepare the Base:
Add the frozen banana, your choice of milk, pistachio paste, and vanilla extract into a high-speed blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and creamy.
Assemble:
Pour the thick pistachio smoothie base into a chilled serving glass, leaving a little space at the top.
The Final Pour:
Gently pour the whisked matcha over the top of the smoothie base. Garnish with a sprinkle of crushed pistachios for a lovely contrast in texture. Stir gently before sipping to combine the rich flavors.
